Natural Nail Overlay

This treatment is most commonly known as 'BIAB' which simply stands for 'builder in a bottle'. Although the term 'BIAB' is just branding exclusively owned by one specific gel brand it has been around for many years via several different brands often under an umbrella of names such as 'builder gel', 'soft gel', 'rubber base', 'strength gel', 'structure gel', 'BIAB' etc. Builder gels that are packaged in a bottle like gel polish are simply a gel base with a slightly thicker viscosity in comparison to the standard gel polish base coats. They are designed to work alongside gel polish colours but they offer longer lasting wear due to providing extra strength and protection to the natural nail whilst maintaining a natural look and feel similar to standard gel polish base coats.

 

At PrettyEdgy this specific treatment incorporates a builder in a bottle gel in replacement for the base coat used in our standard gel polish treatment. Our application incorporates a 2-in1 structure application method, this supports the stress area and provides optimal structure and adhesion to ensure longevity.

Ideal for those with weak nails, are heavy handed or have jobs/hobbies that put a lot of stress on the natural nail. This treatment is also a great option from growing short nails to long healthy nails in just 3-4 appointments!

Suitable for: All nail types especially weak, thin, flaking, brittle or ridged nails.

Wears: 3-4 weeks

Infills required: 4 weeks max

This treatment is infilled. Please note infills after 4 weeks are not advised as it can be damaging to your natural nails and will be charged an additional fee

Natural Nail Overlay

This treatment is similar to the 'Gel Polish + Strength Gel' treatment but is for those who wish to start their growth journey with instant length instead of shorter natural nails. Hard Gel extensions in a short-medium length are applied at the first treatment, every follow on appointment the nails are then infilled with the strength gel until your natural nails reach your desired length. This process usually takes 8 weeks minimum, but is dependant on the speed your natural nails grow so may take slightly longer.

Suitable for: Those with weak nails that split or break frequently, are heavy handed or have jobs/hobbies that put a lot of stress on the natural nail preventing them from growing. 

Wears: 2-3 weeks

Infills required: 3 weeks max

Growth programme includes:

1st Appointment £61: A consultation and the application of short-medium hard gel extensions and colour application. This will give you immediate length and strength but a natural, lightweight feel. 

 

Ongoing Appointments £47*: 2-3 weeks* later the gel colour will be removed and the original strength gel application will be refined and perfected. The new nail growth will then be infilled with strength gel.

 

At every 2-3 weekly appointment from here until the 8 week goal the above infill will be carried out until your natural nails have reached your ideal length.

Natural Nail Overlay

Performs like a Gel, applies like a polish. Gel Polish applies straight to your natural nails like a polish however, as it is a pure gel it offers both protection and long lasting wear.

Suitable for: All nail types

Wears: 4-6 weeks

Removal required: 6 weeks max

Pedicure & Natural Nail Overlay

Standard Pedicure meets Medi Pedi. This dry pedicure uses expert techniques and tools that will reduce hard skin, callouses and cracks and maintain toenail health and appearance. The pedicure is tailored to each individual client focusing on your individual needs and concerns.

 

Ideal for those who suffer from dry skin, hard skin, calloused skin or cracked heels or those wishing for general maintenance to keep the skin supple and healthy.

**If you suffer from very calloused skin or cracked heels please also book the additional add on for 'cracked heel treatment'. This will allow extra time to focus on these areas.**

​

This treatment is advised as a treatment plan for best results. Results can take between 2 and 12 appointments depending on how much hard skin build up there is or specific problem areas. You will be advised on a treatment plan schedule and aftercare at your consultation.

​

Suitable for: All skin types excluding thin/sensitive skin, or if you're diabetic. If you are diabetic or have thin/sensitive skin please note the pedicure will be adjusted slightly.

Gel Wears: 4-6 weeks

Maintenance: For best results we advise every 2-6 weeks alongside regular home maintenance. You will be advised on consultation the best course for you personally.

This treatment includes:
Previous Gel removal, nails cut and shaped, in-depth cuticle work, in-depth hard skin removal with electric file, smart oil application to lock in moisture, Gel Polish application. Please note this is an in-depth treatment of 1hr 45mins-2hrs.

Please make sure you add on nail art to your nail appointment if it is something you would like to avoid disappointment. All designs are hand painted so dependant on the design please allow 15-60mins extra on your appointment time. More advanced designs may need longer, please get in touch before booking if you're unsure.

Nail Art price is on consultation and is based on a Tier system starting from £2 per nail up to £15 per 15mins the design takes:

Tier 1 - Basic hand painted e.g. Basic - Marble, Swirls, Flowers, Abstract, Line Work, Leopard Print etc 

Tier 2 - Intermediate hand painted e.g. Marble/Gemstone (with layers) Advanced Animal Print, Negative Space, Flames, Drips, Stars, Hearts, Layered Line Work, Swirls, Tartan etc

Tier 3 - Advanced hand painted e.g. Tie Dye, Lettering, Characters, Emojis, Tattoo style, Detailed Paintings, Encapsulation, Intricate or multiple layering of Tier 1/Tier 2 designs combined​
