Completed a VTCT in Nail Anatomy, Health & Safety & Nail Technology in College.
First Job as a Nail Technician working at the sister salon of Urban Retreat (Harrods), U.R Beautiful. Here Annabel specialised in Manicures & Pedicures
Annabel was head hunted to work at Beauty Within, Surbiton, where she now specialised in Manicure, Pedicures, Hard Gel extensions and Nail Art. At this salon one of her regular clients was Jessie Wallace.
Annabel went on Maternity leave for a year and in this time decided she wanted to further her skills and expertise within the industry. So at the end of her Maternity in 2015 she applied to become the London Educator for Nail Harmony UK, a leading distributor for the first pure gel polish brand, Gelish. Where she became fully qualified to teach students to become fully qualified Nail Technicians. During this time period Annabel also did Nicole Scherzingers nails, travelled to the USA for educator events and contributed to magazine articles for Scratch, PBL and Pro Beauty Magazines.
At this time Annabel was also approached by fellow Doctorate Educator Thalia Erodotou to work alongside her in her North London Nail & Makeup Studio. Here Annabel specialised in Acrylic Sculpted Extensions, Hand Painted Nail Art & HD Brows.
Although Annabel always had private clientele alongside working in salons since her journey started in 2008, working in the North London Studio became challenging with a new baby so in 2016 Annabel decided it was the right time to set up a home based Nail & Education Studio, officially introducing PrettyEdgy Nails, alongside still working for Nail Harmony educating students to become fully qualified Nail Technicians Annabel started building a strong clientele base at her new studio in Sutton.
In late 2019 Annabel was approached by IKON.iQ Nails, Europes leading nail developer/manufacturer of award winning hypoallergenic professional nail products, and asked to become their London & Surrey Educator. Although this was an amazing short journey, after the extremely hard year that Covid-19 and Brexit brought in 2020, Annabel took a brief break from teaching.
3 lockdowns later, and having to close business throughout each lockdown, due to Covid-19 Annabel now continues to offer treatments at her home studio, specialising in all Nail treatments.
In April 2021 Annabel became the London Educator for Willow Academy, specialising in the education of E-File Manicures (breaking the stigma and poor education of 'nail drills') alongside all other Nail courses for beginners and experienced Nail Technicians. Despite the challenges Covid brought Annabel is still striving to bring the best to both her clients and students
Annabel is still the South London and Surrey Educator for Willow Academy alongside being their Online Education Programme Manager.
